Invest in adventure – it all starts with you!
We’ve challenged ourselves to raise £26,026 to help more young people in Scotland to experience the life-changing adventure of Scouts.
The money we raise can help us support the 9000 you people currently on waiting lists, subsidise young people who could not otherwise afford it to go on nights away, reach new communities, pay for equipment like tents and waterproofs to support young people who cannot afford their own, and help renew ageing infrastructure to keep costs down.

Join the Clan!
There are all sorts of ways to get involved in Clan Challenge. Whether you fundraise personally or choose to make a financial contribution every penny we raise will help young people to experience adventure through Scouts.
What’s more, anyone who raises money for Clan Challenge or chooses to give regularly to Scouts Scotland will be eligible for our exclusive blanket badge!

Get Active
Whether you don your tartan and take on the Kiltwalk, lace up and race a half-marathon, or prefer to take to the road on two wheels there are a number of popular races and other events that you can get free access to when you pledge to fundraise for Scouts Scotland.

Fundraising Fun
Looking for a challenge that’s more suited to you? From bake sales to abseils, there are so many ways to fundraise. Keep an eye on our social media for ideas or feel free to be creative and design your own event or challenge.

Personal Giving
If marathons aren’t for you or your lemonade stand days are over you can still contribute through a personal gift. Any donation makes a difference whether large or small. Regular donations means we can plan ahead and use money wisely. Just £10 per month can send a young person who can’t afford it to a national event such as The Howling, or ScotJam while £25 a month could fund a grant to subsidise a whole section to go for a night away.
If you receive a free place at a challenge event we’ll ask for a minimum pledge for the associated event entry. More information below.

Race entry pledges
If you receive a free place for a challenge event we’ll ask for a minimum pledge for the associated event entry.
- 5K – £100
- 10K – £250
- Half Marathon – £350
- Marathon – £500
Each challenge event place represents a valuable source of fundraising and by asking for a minimum fundraising amount we can continue to provide free places to events such as these and help more young people across Scotland gain access to Scouting.
