Our badges and awards allow Scouts to try new things, find new interests, and demonstrate their progress. They are awarded when a young person has completed a challenging, yet achievable, set of requirements. There are lots of badges and awards to be achieved, including some Scottish specific badges. All badges are available from the Glasgow Scout Shop.

The King’s Scout Award is available for Explorer Scouts over the age of 16 and Scout Network. It is the ultimate Top Award for all youth members to achieve by the time they reach the age of 25. All recipients receive a special invitation to Windsor Castle to take part in celebrations.

A voluntary, non-competitive award where young people create their own DofE programme by choosing volunteering, physical and skills activities, going on an expedition, and – for the Gold award – taking part in a residential activity.

The Chief Scout's Acorn, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum Awards are the highest awards in each of the sections, from Squirrels to Explorers.

The Explorer Belt is a challenge of a lifetime. It offers the chance to take part in a ten-day expedition that brings you a real understanding of a different country, its culture and way of life. It is an experience and an achievement that you will remember for the rest of your life.
