The Scottish National Scout Regatta is an annual event for Scouts, Explorers, Network and Leaders. It is open to any Scottish Scouting member who is over 10. You don’t have to be a Sea Scout or have been to a regatta before. It is about taking part, having fun, socialising, making new friends and getting wet.
There are opportunities to take part in different water events as well as a range of land activities. You don’t have to enter every event but you should have previous experience for the events you’re entering. The ethos of the regatta is all about giving it a go and having fun.
There are there are different watersports such as sailing , canoe, kayak and paddleboarding. Each event will be split into three different age groups, Scouts, Explorers and Network/Leaders.
Sailing – single-handed and crewed
Paddling- Kayaks, Open Canoe and Paddleboard
When not competing on the water there are lots of other activities on offer, such as high ropes, bushcraft, archery and more. There will also be evening entertainment on Saturday night, as well as an evening reception for the leaders.

The cost is £99 per person, Leaders and young people, and includes indoor accommodation on Friday and Saturday night, food from Saturday breakfast onwards and all activities over the weekend.
