Join us for Scouting for Everyone: an Inclusion Team Event.
We believe Scouts should be inclusive and open to all and we want to support volunteers across Scotland to be more inclusive in their approach.
Why attend?
Taking part in this event will help you understand the barriers to participation young people from different backgrounds and needs face in Scouting. The event will build your confidence to tackle issues you come across in your everyday Scouting.
There will be various workshops throughout the day such as:
- LGBTQ+: How to support our young people
- Trauma informed practice in Scouting
- Mental Health training
- Additional Support Needs
- Race equity & Inclusive growth
- First Aid 10b Validation
Dates and Costs
The event will take place over two days allowing volunteers to choose between Saturday or Sunday. Workshops on each day will be the same.
You can choose between:
- Saturday 25th October
- Sunday 26th October
