Brave the Brick Walk at The Howling!

At The Howling, we’re challenging Cubs and Leaders to take on the Brick Walk – a barefoot dash across a path of tiny plastic bricks (yes, it’s exactly as tingly as it sounds!). 

It’s all part of the Clan Challenge – helping raise funds to support more young people to attend events like the Howling and grow Scouting into Scotland’s most deprived areas.  The Howling is already leading the way in offering subsidies to young people from Scotland’s poorest communities and those facing significant travel costs to attend.

If every Cub at the Howling raised £5 towards supporting the wider Scout movement we could do so much more.

We’re offering Cubs at the Howling the chance to earn their Clan Scotland blanket badge by taking part in the Brick Walk and supporting more young people from all backgrounds to participate in Scouts.

How It Works 

  • We’ll lay out a colourful (and slightly ouchy) brick path. 
  • Cubs, Leaders, and anyone feeling brave can take a turn. 
  • Every step helps us raise money for the Clan Challenge. 

How to Take Part 

There are two ways to take part

1️⃣ Set up a JustGiving page for your pack and ask parents and leaders to share on social media. 

  • Sign up or log in to JustGiving here.
  • Set your fundraising target – we recommend £5 per Cub taking part
  • Make it personal – shout out which Group your from.
  • Send out the page to your network and watch the support role in.

2️⃣ Encourage Cubs to take a small donation along and take part in the Brick Walk during the Full Moon Funfair activity. We suggest £2 but there is no minimum if Cubs have change to spend. 

No matter how you join in, every penny raised will go towards giving more young people the adventure of a lifetime.  Get your Pack ready, gather your courage, and we’ll see you on the bricks!
